A.P.O.H. Collection from Antoinette Beenders and X-Presion

A.P.O.H is a collaboration between @antoinettebeenders and @xpresioncreativos pushing the boundaries of hair concepting and hair colour. The name A.P.O.H stands for “a piece of hair” inspired by the futuristic designs of a Japanese fashion designer.

Conceived in Madrid, a beautiful fushion of fashion, photography and hair.

Antoinette Beenders is a Dutch-born visionary and award-winning global creative leader who is known for her unique approach to holistic beauty. She believes in juxtaposing fashion and nature to create distinctive imagery and experiences that stand out in a cluttered world. Antoinette deeply embraces diversity both behind and in front of the camera. She collaborates with the world’s top photographers, models and creative talent to develop dynamic beauty concepts and striking images that showcase elevated artistry, high-fashion sensibility and environmental consciousness.

X-presion - Marco Antonio Restrepo, Jorge Cáncer and Jose Luis Almendral

Founded in 2005, X-presion is the first company worldwide dedicated exclusively to research and development in the artistic and educational fields of  hairdressing. From its very beginning this creative studio, formed by 3 young entrepreneurs from Madrid – Marco Antonio Restrepo, Jorge Cáncer and Jose Luis Almendral, works on developing new cutting, colouring and dressing techniques, through a mix of different artistic disciplines, materials and concepts.

In such a short period of time X-presion has achieved to transcend beyond the boundaries of hair to all its possible forms. Their endless creativity combined with cosmetic innovation and scientific investigation let them create literal pieces of art.

It's the best of all worlds.

We're loving the head-hugging short crops with an explosion of textural colour that you can't help but stare at. We love the extending pieces of hair, creating vibrancy, pattern and movement in otherwise simple styles. And we adore how abstract colour and purposefully placed graphics blend seemlessly together to create a look that is truly unique.

It's a piece of hair.

But it's not just any piece of hair: it's a piece of hair inspired by a Japanese fashion designer who is known for her futuristic designs and minimalist, precise elements. The pleating on the clothes is so fine it's almost invisible, and the shoulders are structured and sharp—all giving off an aura of mesmerizing elegance.

Collaboration.

At FrontRowPro, we love nothing more than a collaboration, by combining the knowledge, skills, and perspectives of multiple individuals, creative collaboration can lead to the generation of new ideas that would not have been possible without such collaboration. People from different backgrounds and experiences can bring diverse perspectives and fresh insights, which can develop new and innovative ways. Creative collaboration can spark new ideas and inspire individuals to think outside the box, leading to the creation of innovative solutions to complex problems. Who will you next collaborate with?

We caught up with X-Presion and asked them to tell us what it was like to collaborate with Antoinette;

X-presion: “We love to create new hair color stories, so designing these colors for A.P.O.H. in our studio was really interesting. Everything started in London after a presentation there, and Antoinette and us thought, why don’t we make something together? And e voilà!”

“5 days in the #xpresionstudio and every hair piece was treated like an art piece. We created some of them from zero!

“We recycled hair color pieces from Luis and the end result we think is amazing. Apart from the incredible Miguel Reveriego in charge of photo and video, other of our passions is social media and creating content. We invited to the project people we normally use to work with that are incredible talents from Instagram, they were Yana and Javier Haro.”

“All the cocktail that AB and X-presion put to the table makes this project truly special“

When you talk about the art of hairdressing, you're not just talking about a haircut. You're talking about a multi-layered creative fusion of music, video, costume design and photography. That's why it's no surprise that when X-presion started out as a trio of hair stylists with an eye for experimentation and innovation, they created more than 20 techniques that they now refer to as #xpresionpixel, Disruptive color, braille color, #xpresionthread, Super Mario Pixel Art, to name a few.

Their mission is to give hairstylists around the world the freedom to create their own rules and express themselves through their art. And it seems like they've succeeded: #xpresionpixel changes the rules in the color world. A revolution on Instagram, Facebook, TV and in fashion magazines ... already they have more than 150 million impacts!

Antoinette Beenders is a forward-thinking innovator who collaborates with the best and brightest in her field, and she's always on the cutting edge of trends. We can't wait to see what Antoinette and X-Presion have in store for us next.

Tune in on Monday, May 8th to see the new collaboration live at the @ihawards in Mallorca, Spain!
